The Sunnah of Wearing Perfume
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ loved good fragrance, and it is reported that he never refused perfume when it was offered (Sahih Muslim). Wearing attar — especially for Jumu'ah and the masjid — is a cherished practice.
Non-alcoholic attars are favoured by many for prayer, as they are pure oils. Musk in particular is praised in the tradition for its clean, gentle character.
Beyond personal use, gifting perfume is a sunnah of generosity: it is light to carry and leaves a lasting, pleasant memory.
